The previous tenant didn't take good care of the studio. The wooden floor was in a bad condition. The owner asked me to refurbish the flat for short rentals. The budget was very limited. I got some inspiration from the authentic old floor that laid in the entrance of the building, from the typical wooden floor of this space and the desire of the owner to create that Parisian-studio look. A new kitchen replaced the old one, the parquet was sanded and varnished. The floor was as new, the studio was ready to be furnished ! As the studio was only 22 m2, I did use a hotel-suite layout to maintain that spacious feeling instead of subdivide the open space into several little nooks. This refurbishment was a success as the first 3 months were almost instantly fully booked when it went online. Even you can rent this beautiful flat ! Go check it out on Airbnb ;-)
